The goal for students is 53 words per minute in the fall, 72 words per minute in the winter, and 92 words per minute in the spring.
How can I help my student with reading?
Reading with your child is very important. It is OK to read to your child and to have them read to you. Ask your child questions about the story as you read. Also follow your question up with "How do you know?" We are reading detectives in room 7 and we must always prove our answers. The more practice they have doing this the better!

This resource is wonderful. Lots of great games that help with concepts we are working on in class. Your child has a password and user name that is in their homework folder.
